"My artistic practice is interdisciplinary, rooted in close observation of the natural world and guided by Indigenous values. Through diverse mediums — including paint, wood, plaster, fabric, cyanotype, ink, and found objects — I explore Lakota ontologies, natural cycles, and human relationships within ecosystems.
I create imagery drawn from Lakota symbols, mirrored and organic forms, landscapes, sky-scapes, constellations, plants, stones, and water. These natural elements embody ancestral teachings, carrying knowledge, truths, and realities that exist within and beyond contemporary Western frameworks. My research-based process seeks to both focus and expand intersections between cultural understandings of nature and personal "ways of being," addressing the multiplicity of human traditions and how these ways of knowing connect us to our non-human relatives.
Through my work, I aim to create spaces for reflection, healing, and deeper engagement with the universal mysteries of life, death, and interconnectedness, expressed through the Lakota concept of Mitákuye Oyasin (All My Relations)."
